Severe Yaw misalignment while on straight path? 20' (degree) off centerline?

Daniel Snyder

So I was flying (Air 2S) between waypoints today (straight lines) and the drone was flying 20' (degree) crab sideways!   I did have a 1' (deg) Drone heading set on the Path, but each straight path was like  20'  degree offset on drone yaw..   I had to fly my mission manually.

I also saw the same thing with a Mapping component.  Drone travelled with a 20 degrees yaw from flight path.  No settings I could see would do this.

Have you done a compass calibation recently? If you turn on the heading indicator and compare the reading with reality does it match up?

Yes - I did a compass calibration right away.   Same result the second time.    I am flying a simplier "Straight line" mission over some straight railway tracks today.   I'll check again.  if still crabbing, I'll re-calibrate IMU and adjust Yaw manually.   Let me know if you want to see a picture of the problem.

Another idea is to fly the same mission somewhere else to see if that area has mag interference.
