Do you need VPN access to have a smooth experience using Dronelink in, say, China?
I've noticed maps load with VPN but without VPN they don't and the app is generally inoperable...at best very very sluggish.
Is there a plan to basis geo location default to a map that enables easy local use? Perhaps may only apply to China....
DL doesn't work in china basically.
Jim McAndrew is there any chance of making DL work natively in China without helper apps?
At least Litchi works in China with a special "China mode" which changes the base map to a local China map so making it a bit more accessible to folks here. Just throwing this out there... no pressure intended!
We have already scoped this body of work and it is a very large project due to many factors and our reliance on many google systems for our backend. It is on the list but we are unlikely to get around to it any time soon given the length of the list and our current priorities.
Thanks Jim. It makes sense that there are other priorities. I will let friends excited about it but skittish about using VPN know they can just hold on a little longer. There are many excited friends when they seem my hobby for the DL app. Hoping they can later jump onboard too.
