photo and video commands

Joseph Burger

Can you point me to a layman's explanation or tutorial on camera commands? I wish to start and stop video at various points in the mission and also would like to interrupt a video to take a still photo at various places along the route. I'm relatively new to Dronelink, although I have completed many nice missions as long as it's all just video, but the latest bunch of camera commands is confusing (at least to me).

My suggestion would be to start with a plan which contains only components, no flight plan.  The reason is learn how camera commands work before you incorporate them into a mission.  Camera commands work in sequence so you cannot include a camera command out of sequence.  For example:  You can't start a video until after a stop video command issued.  You can take a still picture until appropriate stop commands have been issued.  Any specific camera shutter, resolution, zoom must match the capabilities of your camera.

Just try different commands as separate components before you try to incorporate the commands into separate lists.  Keep your tests simple for now.

To interrupt a video to take a still photo at various places along the route you can add a disengage action on a path - this will cause the mission to stop temporarily.  You can then fly the drone manually, do whatever you need to do, and then press resume and the mission will continue from where it stopped.
