On-the-fly since last v212 release

Hello,

As I am in Pyrénées before Tour de France stage, I wanted to test last On-the-fly orbit/circle version targetting this nice peak.

Nothing went good, this is why I finally restarted with Dji Fly.

My question : did somebody launch these OTF functions w/o any concern ?

I will retry all On-the-fly fcts but in a more confortable situation 🙂

We never try to release features that have bugs, but you are in the beta test...

Can you be more specific about what the issues were?

Since I was in a tricky position, I didn´t want to insist with the mission.
As a minimum, the camera didn´t want to point to the desired direction. At the end the app closed alone. That´s why I triggered the rth and waited for the drone to come back home.
As said, I will relaunch the same once in better safety conditions.

I’ve used several times. Just ran a few a couple days ago without issues with same Beta version. Depending on which On the Fly Function there can be several sections which need to be set up correctly as you are going though each step. Gimbal, Speed, stick input, marks, etc are just a few and will depend on which function. Maybe check the DL 101 Tutorial videos for additional help with the specific one you want to use.I had a few issues a long time ago and it was pilot error with my set up. I had missed a step and gimbal was focused elsewhere or forgot to mark a point. Too many of them to go through and I haven’t used all of them but it will depend on which one your using. I understand about safety concerns but if set up correctly DL will perform how you set it up. They work really well overall.

I have had the app close down a few times over the last year or so but I just opened back up and continued. Not sure why it does but it was still running in background so I just selected the app and continued my missions without any additional issues. I sometimes send an error report to them just incase it’s something they can look into and fix. Good luck, Enjoy.
