Phantom 4 pro V2 facade and obstical avoidance
Can someone tell me if you plan a facade mapping the obstacle avoidance (all direction) will work?
I had already some isseus with my mavic air2 but that was not due to D.L but my phone.
However sometimes i get lost in translation in the manual of D.L and i rather ask for advice in this community
Thank you

On the P4P the side sensors are only active in tripod mode - which is not what is used when using DL. Forward and back obstacle avoidance should work, but you should not be relying on that to keep you safe.
Thank you for youre reply. I was hoping there was a possibility we could use them like you said in tripod it isnt possible.
there is a object i wanted to do but i have problems with nearby obstacles (vegitations and tree's) if i want to do the complete facade it is about 2 meters (about 6.5 feet) distance but then i have a large amount of shots and personaly for me 2 meters is to close i find and also as a starter in D.L if i make a map on the pc how correct is it during flight (gps deviation)
Like said sometimes i get lost in translation even with the clips that D.L provide
A few things.
First, GPS error can be much larger than 2 meters, so there is a big risk there. If you have one of the higher level plans you can correct for that using the GPS correction feature which you can see here: https://vimeo.com/553828998
That might help.
Also, you can run a mission using the "Verification Mission" feature - click the three dots next to the mission name. This will allow you to run the mission with the drone facing forwards the entire flight and this is used to check for obstacles and allow the collision sensors to work.
Those might get you comfortable enough to do it but...be very careful flying that close to things. Good luck!
thank you, indeed it is a close call
