Black Screen

Glenn Mire

A bit different black screen and will test more.

A2S on with std controller, both current updated. DJI Fly  1.5.10; iPad 10 IOS 15.1;

New mission, untested until this morning.

Moved it to new location via Move function.

Deleted two of the Orbit components used to create the waypoint circles.

Started up in DJIFly automatically so went ahead and confirmed HP while still on the ground and motors off. Camera was functioning while on the landing pad and the screen was normal.

Switched to DL (and the screen went black) and a couple of minutes later hit Start. It started the motors. However, in retrospect, I noticed the main view was of the mission flight that I had switched to as the main screen was black. It just didn't click initially about what I wasn't seeing. It went on to launch and proceed to starting altitude. I'm noticing the black screen in the lower left corner and it's still not registering.

It made it to the first point and started shooting. I have photos from the 1st two waypoints, at which time the screen was still black, so i brought it home thinking the mission had failed. Brought it back to HP and down to about 6' above the pad, switched to Fly, and the screen came back, so I re-launched and flew manually.

I did Not try to reengage the screen after switching to Fly.

I flew a successful set of missions on Friday, 5 days ago, and no software updates to anything I can think of except DL, which I think was updated this weekend??? All hardware was the same today as was last week.

    This is the mission link in its original location with the Orbits still attached.

    So you had both DJI Fly and Dronelink running at the same time?  Did you try with just DL app running?

    No. Just needed to get it done then. I'll test more in the morning when it's cooler. Have never needed to kill the Fly before, even though it's recommended. Update in the morn.

    You cannot have DJI Fly in the background.

    Got it. And, update from the morning testing. I deliberately started Fly, lifted up and set down, and started the Orbit mission on DL WITHOUT stopping Fly, and it worked perfectly. I then switched to Fly again, and back to DL and created an On-the-Fly Mission of a Path, again, worked perfectly. Just some BG info. I will stop it from now on though. Thanks.
