Map Planner 2 - Map Size Limit - can't open previously created missions

Cronix

I saw on Dronelinks youtube channel today that the new mission planner 2 has been released so went to go check it out in the web version. I loaded my mapping mission that I've been working on for the last week and flown a few times now and now can't change anything without getting a message that the map is too big and needs to split it up, or raise altitude (250ft currently), etc., but it won't let me change the altitude without immediately getting that error message.

Why is the threshold lower for the new version that it can't open maps that were fine in the previous version?

Now I can't go fly the mission today as planned. Looks like I have to redo it, which will take hours involving multiple kml imports which is very slow.

We will take a look at at-least allowing changes that would make it smaller, even if it is still over the limit (which is 25 km of flight distance without terrain follow, 10 km with terrain follow).

This has been changed to only disallow increasing the map size. You can make it smaller or make other changes that don't affect the map size now.

agreed running into the same issues, huge step backwards in the software for dronelink, increased the office planning time 6 foldĀ
