Camera Shutter Speed Failed
I am new to using Dronelink and tried flying my first planned flight. The drone launched and ascended to its starting first but then I kept getting a message - "Camera Shutter Speed Failed - Cannot set the parameters in this state". I did set 'New components', 'list' and manually set my camera shutter speed, ISO, Mode and aspect ratio. Is this where I went wrong?

You can set the camera settings manually before flight but any automated camera commands it your list will be implemented. They will not cause it to fail. Which drone ? Please send a link to your plan.

Best to take a screen shot of exact error message next time. Should have a stop capture command at very beginning of plan. You also need to place the camera commands up at very beginning of the plan before the mapping component to set them. Otherwise those settings aren’t even applied until after the map is already completed. Also since you are only setting a couple camera commands you need to make sure any other camera settings are properly set manually before flight. Try running again and make sure you have the camera set to your desired settings either manually or with automated commands.
Here is your plan with just the camera commands moved to top of plan before mapping component. Also added a stop capture due to a issue indicator warning and that may have been an issue with shutter error.

Thanks for your help Mike. I'm still not entirely sure if all my camera settings are set correctly. Is there somewhere I can find what settings are supported by the Phantom 4 drone?
Any camera settings your drone is capable of will work. So check the specs for your specific drone to see what it can perform. ISO, Shutter, FPS, Intervals, video, phots etc. Depending on the plan some components need to be in the proper place and some in the proper order or mission may fail. if you want some additional help setting up your plans like Camera settings or other components please let me know. I’m retired and enjoy helping others. You can find me on Messenger. Good luck either way.
Here is a couple links to DL help with a lot of info. I’d suggest watch most if the first half of the DL YouTube videos and go from there. Most pilots would agree there is a steep learning curve at first but doesn’t take long to learn all the basic functions DL can be performed all automatically.

There is a way to test any camera commands which your drone supports to make sure they work.
Testing camera commands:
You can test any camera commands without actually flying a mission. Just create a blank and add only camera commands like ISO, shutter, resolution, frame rates etc. No Destination, Path, Orbit or Map. All you should have is the purple reference pin, nothing else. Connect your drone as usual and once ready just start the mission. Since there is no actual flight path it will not fly and just load all the camera commands really quick. If there is something which will not work it will indicate them. If any errors occur just remove or change any commands which don’t work and try again. It can be done for Video or Photos.
Caution: May be a good idea to remove the props on first few attempts. More of a pain with a Mini but better safe then sorry. As long as the plan has only the Purple Reference Pin and not any Destination, Path, Orbit or Map component etc., it will not launch and just load the camera commands. Safety first ! ! !
Mike - I connected the drone and started my test mission with just the purple reference pin and my camera commands. I am still getting the camera shutter speed fail message. Do you know why this shutter speed doesn't work?

Any guidance is much appreciated! thank you!
I just tried removing the shutter speed commend and I got 'Mission Accomplished'. Should I just be not setting any camera command perimeters?
Not sure why those shutter speeds are failing. Have you tried others like, 160, 1/80, 1/100 etc just to see if any others work ? According to the specs for a Phantom 4 those should not be an issue. DL will need to assist further with why they don’t work at this point.
For the time being you can just turn off “Required” as it days on just the shutter speed and see if works. Then check and see if it actually took photos at those shutter speeds.
Thanks Mike - I have contacted Dronelink. None of these shutter speeds work...
Regarding your previous comment - "Depending on the plan some components need to be in the proper place and some in the proper order or mission may fail. if you want some additional help setting up your plans like Camera settings or other components please let me know".
Would you give me some recommendations for camera settings for this plan: https://app.dronelink.com/chanel-gagnon/my-first-project/plan/euMKxnubsi9EZpuNFfNz ?
Any other components I should be applying? order of components? etc. anything to optimize this flight for mapping purposes.
Your help is very much appreciated.
Link to the original plan appears to be dead. Were you setting the camera exposure mode to manual before attempting to set the ISO?

This plan doesn’t appear to be setting the shutter speed anymore. If you need to set the shutter speed you need to set the camera to manual exposure first.
Chanel. I used the last plan you shared and tried it with the changed manual settings. Here is your plan with slight modifications. Ran it with just the camera commands and it works. I added manual exposure, changed ISO and added JPEG file format which was no issue. You can change the format to JPEG + RAW but it may take more time to process the additional RAW photos so the intervals may need to be set to 5 seconds instead of 3. I Like using only manual settings for photos or videos myself but if you want to use auto that’s fine. It ran with Auto ISO and manually setting to 200 and mission worked. Hope the mission works for you.

Hello Chanel,
As Jim stated, the camera needs to be set in manual exposure mode first before setting the shutter speed.
Mike's plan had that before the shutter speed command setting.
Best,
Jacob
