Rgds,
Hi Jacob,
Thank you for opening up the beta testing for Mission Planner 2.0.
I see that beta testing is open to everybody with a Dronelink account, but will the type of Dronelink account that we have limit the availability of beta features that can be tested? For example, will everybody irrespective of account type be able to beta test Map 2.0, Photo Mission and Pano?, or just those with a Hobbyist (elite) plan and above?
Will it be possible to still use the public release concurrently/ separately with the beta on both the Windows PC (Firefox UI) and the Android mobile device?; i.e.,
Version 3.3.1 | Kernel 3.3.1 (PC); Version 3.3.2 (198) | Kernel 3.3.1 (Android)
FWIW - I do not have a Business plan, only a Hobbyist plan (elite), and have only been using Dronelink (Android) and flying for about 6 weeks focused primarily on photo mapping missions. Adjunct to this research have been panos shot using the DJI Fly spherical pano feature with stitching done using PTGui Pro.
Thank you again for opening up beta testing for Mission Planner 2.0!
Yes, the beta has always required an active Dronelink account, and part of the testing is that the feature gates work.
If you look at the pricing page on the beta website, you will see that these new component types are included in Basic, so everyone can test them.
You can only have one version of the native app installed at once. If you do go back to production, you cannot use 3.4.0 mission plans in that version.
The beta website, hmm... all I was able to find in regards to which plan includes which functions was in the production release
Never mind; I think I found it:
