Lowest possible mapping altitude above ground level (AGL) for DJI Mini 2?

Martin Lainer

Could somebody  tell me, what the lowest possible mapping altitude (AGL) is with a DJI Mini 2? For instance, I would like to fly a mapping mission at 2m AGL in flat areas so that a ground sampling distance of at least 1mm/pixel is achieved. Would this be possible with the dronelink software? Thank you very much!

The accuracy of the sensors on the drone can be +/- 4m or worse, and the accuracy of the terrain data varies, but is definitely not within 2m, so I would not recommend trying this.

The Minis are supposed to avoid ground contact (if they are flying slow enough, anyway) using their bottom cameras, so it should be safe to give it a try at slow speed, being prepared to abort (as always). However, I'm not sure how good the mapping accuracy would be if the distance from the camera to the ground is varying too much.
