Mapping Issue Using Mavic Air 2S
When I start a mapping mission with my Air 2S, it will fly to the Designated start point, take a photo or two and then show this error. I do not change any setting in the default mapping except setting as Mavic Air 2S in Settings. Can anyone help?
Also, during the approach, usually it will stop and give me a error regarding the Joystick. I do not touch anything on the controller during the mission.

Camera issue may be your plan setup. Please share the exact mission that failed. Also make sure your using the most current DJI firmware as there has been problems with the older versions. Best way to make sure it’s the latest and up to date is use DJI Assistant 2 (consumer drone series) software. Update both controller and drone.
Do you know the actual Joystick error or code ?

I will fly mission again today in order to grab a snapshot of the Joystick error.
Hi Calvin. Are you shootings in JPEG + RAW ? If so the 2 second interval should be longer. At least 3 seconds due to a bit more time to process both JPEG + RAW. Or just shoot in JPEG. Try 3 seconds and run again. A screen shot of the Joystick error would be great and someone here may be able to help with that issue if it still persists.
Hey Mike,
I tried mission again with JPEG+RAW at 3 seconds. Didn't work. I don't think you can do the mapping with both file formats. It would be great if you could. When I switched to JPEG the mission ran without error.
Here is the Joystick Error that shows up repeatedly when the drone ascends to around 20 ft. Usually, I have to dismiss several times and then it will proceed.

As far as I know the mapping component should be able to shoot JPEG + RAW but may still take more time to process. Try 5 seconds or just shoot in JPEG. I know the longer intervals may change how many it takes but you can slow down the drones speed a bit to compensate.
Hello Calvin, I also get this issue with my Air 2S. I have found that it is just an annoyance that we have to live with until a new SDK comes out. Honestly, nothing you can do for the time being and at least Drone Link somewhat works with the Air 2 as other companies won't even work with your 2S.
Also the control override is due to APAS. This happens on very rare occasions with my MA2 when Obstacle avoidance is set to bypass. Doesn’t happen when set to Off or Brake. I wait for about 10 to 15 seconds then click resume and the missions fly without issue. You can see it’s indicating “APAS” in top bar. It Should indicate GPS or Joystick. At least this is what it indicates on my iPad.
