Undefined Error. Unable to take off
So I had a inspection mission today and I updated the DJI FlyApp to 1.6.1 before take-off. I'm flying the Air 2s and I ran into a few small issues. I wanted to inform the community.
DroneLink would not let me start the mapping mission from the ground. I was getting this message, "Undefined error. Unable to take-off". All pre-flight checks were green in the DroneLink App. Reboots did not clear up the issue. I had to use DJI FlyApp to launch and then once in the air I was able to switch over to DroneLink and then it would let me start the mission. I suspect DroneLink will need to update their app since the FlyApp is a new version, but I am just speculating.

I always allow DJI Fly app to fully load and wait patiently for satellites, While waiting I check my camera feed, check all settings to include RTH altitude, Max Altitude and distance, Transmission, Camera, Control and Safety tabs. It only takes about 30 seconds or so and by that time satellites should be indicated and increasing in amount. Once the Home-Point is updated it is usually ready to go. I then force close DJI app and open DL. This is just my simple routine which doesn’t take long an ensures everything is correct and up and running. I’ve always done it this way and haven’t had any issues when using DL. The new DJI fly app update won’t change using DL app.
How many satellites were indicated before launching mission ?
Do you know if the Home-Point was recorded. There is no audible message indicating it has been with the DL app which is why I wait for DJI app to tell me it’s ready.
thanks, I'll try that next time.
I had already been linked to 22 satellites on the 3 previous manual flights using DJI FlyApp, but to be honest I didn't look at the DL app during this error. Everything was green and I would have noticed if it wasnt connected to enough satellites.
I think that may work what you say though.
🤙🏼. On a rare occasion if I tried just loading just DL app without letting DJI app completely load, the camera feed didn’t work. If I do it the way I explained it has always worked. Just a thought and hopefully it will work every time. Good luck.
