Air 2S - is there a trick?
So I have run a handful of missions (maps) and every time I have to plug and unplug the controller as I keep getting various errors. A couple times it also happened in flight. Is there a trick to plugging and unplugging? Do I do it quickly, wait for a certain amount of time (with it unplugged), wait for a certain time after plugging back in, etc? My last mission was a fail because I only had three batteries (which is more than enough) and the mission required two. After plugging and unplugging my batteries were each around 66% so it was a fail as I ran out of power before completing (sad because it was an hour away from my home). Only one time did I have success with the drone working the first time. I totally understand that this is not a Dronelink issue, but a DJI SDK issue but I wonder if there is a secret to not taking so much time to get the drone to do the mission.

Hi Doug. Are you using a IOS device or Android device ?
Only when using an IOS device is why I asked. If Android then it’s not needed. Also if not working by unplugging cable then just turn off the controller then power beck up. As long as you don’t Abort the mission it is saved in your flown Missions. It can be flown at another time or even another day. You won’t lose what progress you had with the flown part of the mission. Once the controller is reconnected to the drone just check your flown missions and you will see the ones which are not completed. Click to resume and it will fly back to the last point and resume the mission. I’m sure it’s frustrating but until DJI fixes the issue your stuck with a small annoyance. Unless there is an issue with the DJI problem which won’t save the paused mission it should work. Not sure why it wouldn’t though. Good luck Doug.
Hello Mike, I am using IOS.
I tried turning off and back on with not much luck. I thought it would be a slight annoyance, but really frustrating. I assume nobody has any idea when updated SDK will be released?
Thanks...
Doug
DJI has control and it’s anyones guess. As stated above the previously flown missions should be in there and it should continue if selected to resume. Annoying, yes. Haven’t heard of this issue much. Maybe just try restarting up everything fresh. If you need additional assistance with figuring out how to resume the paused mission from your mission list let me or someone else here know. I can see this being a pain but unfortunately until they fix this you may need to spend a few more minutes. Good luck Doug.
Also when starting up let the DJI Fly app fully load. Once satellites and the home-point is recored then force close DJI and start DL app. I always allow the DJI Fly app to load everything and check all my settings. I like to make sure that especially the RTH altitude and other settings are correct. 1-1/2 years using DL and it always works without any issues. Your issue is a bit different with the A2S and the reconnect problem but still can’t hurt and ensures everything is ready to go with the Fly app. Hang in there. 🙏🏼
