which drone to buy ?
looking to buy a new drone, was looking at a mini 2, which drone performs best with this app ?

I’m sure you will get different opinions on this. The Mini is a good drone and will work well with DL. It depends on what your trying to accomplish. The MA2, A2S and M2P will work better overall. The size, weight, power and the capabilities of each drone will make for a better flying experience in my opinion. Worth the extra money to me. As I said, the Mini is a very good drone so it comes down to your pocketbook and what you expect to accomplish with it. The size, weight, power, Obstacle avoidance, Active Track, the stability especially in winds and all the additional camera functions is something I really like with my MA2. I also have a Mavic Mini and flown with DL mission and works great but a difference especially in winds. I’m someone that would rather invest more into a product now then wish I had later. $600 M2 combo vs. $988 for MA2 combo is not a lot more for a lot more capabilities and functions. Obviously A2S and M2P are even more. Either one will work great with DL. There is no definite answer, it’s all up to what you want out if it. Whichever you decide there is a large amount of tutorials and help articles available on using DL. Also great support here and on the Official Dronelink Facebook group. Good luck and wait to see what others post and make your decision then.
Hi Mike, thank you for your reply, i have a spark at the moment and while it works the flight time is very limiting, it takes me a while to set up a shot, so to have the ability to pre-program some moves and have a drone with longer flight time and better range would be great, i travel allot so the mini 2 makes allot of sense, but the MA2 is now a similar price to the mini so may go that route.

I noticed they have the MA2 combo on sale again at $789. That’s an amazing price and so worth the small increase from the M2. The MA2 is not that much bigger and fits into the same bag as the M2. If you do buy it before the sale goes away I believe you will be much happier overall. It will definitely handle the winds better. I have used DL since the added the MA2 in December 2020 with the very first Beta versions. I’ve flown about 1,100 minutes of DL missions on it and overall it’s been amazing. I know some like the smaller and lighter Mini but it’s really not a huge difference in size and weight. All depends on you. Enjoy…
The DJI Mini 3 Pro is almost upon us, which is probably where I'll be putting money next. It looks to be a good upgrade from the Mini 2, including a bigger lens, larger battery option and obstacle avoidance. However, if the DJI MSDK is slow in development you may not see this model supported for several months.
