1st Primitive, one destination mission simulates fine. But 3 questions. Shared Mission Link Provided

1)When I created this mission in Chrome browser, 'app.dronelink.com', I couldn't find anywhere I could create a mission title. So to me, it would never appear my mission list or folder to choose for execution. I chose my drone, the Mini 2, from the dropdown list.

2) Also, although the mission simulates just fine, it seems to be too simple. It has a take off and a destination. No approaches or anything else I have read or seen in videos. Is this a correctly defined mission, I could actually execute? The mission setting is at my RC flying field with a 800' blacktop runway. My mission is in the grassy drone area.

3) Also I set RTH as the last step and it didn't return to home. It just stayed at the destination.

The mission link below is set to 'Contributor'.

    Hello Gordon,

    1) To give the plan a name, select the edit button next to "New Plan" and give it a new name, and select Done. This will be in your My First Project repo,

    2) This is a very simple mission that you could run, but it won't be very exciting. Would suggest adding a little bit more, as it is only a 30s mission.

    3) Your RTH settings on the plan seem correct. Did you run this mission fully in the field and not see it return to home?

    Best,

    Jacob

I'm assuming since he asked if this mission will actually run, that he expects the simulation to return home.

That is not the case.  The simulation stops at the end of the mission, but it will not simulate the RTH part.

Also the approach is the dotted line from the purple take-off/ reference pin to the green destination pin. Since all you have is the take-off and the dotted line approach to a destination, there is not much to see. Check the layers icon and make sure everything is turned on if you can’t see those. You can turn on or off anything in the layers list.

There are so many tutorials and help articles it can take time to figure out everything DL can do and how everything works. I suggest creating several plans with many different paths, orbits etc. You don’t need to actually fly them but run them on the mission previewer which will show what it will look like and how different settings will effect the mission. Can’t hurt to create many plans and test them. Just Incase you didn’t have these links I’m including them. DL has amazing support. Good luck.
