Request for Technical Support – Inaccurate Photogrammetry Measurements Using DJI Air 2S and WebODM

Good day!
I am currently experiencing a problem with the photogrammetry process using DroneLink and WebODM. After processing the captured drone images, I noticed that the measurements in the photogrammetry output are not accurate and do not match the actual ground measurements.
I am using a DJI Air 2S drone for data acquisition, and I would like to ask for your technical assistance in identifying the possible cause of this issue.
Details of the Concern
- Drone: DJI Air 2S
- Flight Planning / Mission: DroneLink
- Photogrammetry Processing: WebODM
- Problem: Inaccurate measurements in the photogrammetry output.
- Purpose: Surveying and photogrammetric mapping.
Questions / Request for Assistance
- What could be the possible cause of inaccurate measurements in the photogrammetry output?
- Are there specific DroneLink flight planning settings that need to be checked to ensure accurate photogrammetric results?
- Could the issue be related to flight altitude, image overlap, camera settings, or GPS positioning?
- What is the recommended workflow for using DJI Air 2S with DroneLink and WebODM for accurate surveying measurements?
- Do you recommend the use of Ground Control Points (GCPs) or other survey control procedures to improve the accuracy of the output?

You may want to share the mission so a pilot who does a lot of mapping can help. Are you using ATL or AGL (Terrain Follow) as reference. I’m just a Hobbyist and don’t do much mapping but have been using Dronelink for almost 6 years. If the plan was set up correctly with the proper drone selected and even using the default overlaps there should be no problem. Majority of the time it’s the settings in the software you’re using to process them. The Dronelink app just triggers the photo capture based on the mapping setup. The correct GSD is automatically calculated when the proper drone is selected. Sharing the plan may help.
Dronelink just does the data capture. It sounds like a better question for the processing software team.
