Current product does not support this feature (code: -1013)

Mark McManus
I have tried to do a couple of test Maps using DroneLink on my DJI Mavic Air (original and quite old but on the supported list of devices). The drone takes off, has GPS but upon clicking the purple play icon.. says “starting”. Then get the pop up -> “Current product does not support this feature (code: -1013)“ How do I fix this?? Thanks in advance - Mark

That message comes from the drone itself: when Dronelink starts a mission it asks the flight controller for "virtual stick" control, and your Mavic Air refused the request (DJI returns that misleading "not supported" text). The good news is your drone is fully capable — our diagnostics show one of your maps later that morning engaged and completed successfully, so this is a connection/setup issue rather than a compatibility problem. To make it engage reliably:

    1. Fly with the physical remote controller (phone cabled to the RC) — DJI does not allow app control over the drone's direct WiFi connection on this generation.
    2. Before flying, open DJI GO 4 and: update the aircraft and RC firmware if any update is offered, turn off Beginner Mode, and raise Max Flight Altitude above your map's altitude (one of your later attempts stopped with "Max Altitude Reached"). Then fully close DJI GO 4 before opening Dronelink.
    3. Power-cycle the drone and RC, make sure the flight-mode switch is in P (not Sport), and wait for a solid GPS lock before tapping play.
    4. If it happens again, tap play once more and stay reasonably close to the drone — several of your attempts also logged weak signal and gimbal/camera unavailable, which points to RF interference with the Mavic Air's WiFi link.
