Camera transmission freeze - DJI Mini SE
After connecting controller and dronelink-App with the drone there appears no Camera-Live Picture (black)
- after pressing the mode-button "Photo/Video" the Live Picture appears, but only for a view seconds, then it seems be like frozen (other functions in the app are working, also distance, altidute, speed, ... were updated.)
- during the "live-picture freeze" the gimbel function is fine (control is possible and the angle will be updated on the app). Other figures like ISO, Shutter are also updated always.
- steering is also possible, the position in map works, the follow function works also...
- EVERY time I switch from Photo-Mode to Video-Mode (or reverse) the Live picture will be updated, but only for a view seconds (maybe 2-4 sec) and freeze again!
- there appear no errors in the app
- this problem is from the beginning, it has never work and for this reason the app is right now useless for me (I didn't try further functions/missions)
- Settings regarding Cam are "automatic" (with fixed settings the same problem)
- also after rebooting iphone and reconnecting devices the problem is always the same

Did you try deleting the DL app and reinstalling it again. I haven’t read or heard of this issues. Maybe give it a try.
I tried it today, but have still the same problem. Also with ios update (Vers. 15.4.1) no success.
Could it be a connection issue in the area you are at? I believe I have seen this once/twice on my Mini 2 (iPhone Xs) and it was slow in other functions at the same time. (Are all other apps shut down from running in the background?) although it seems unlikely over multiple days.
Does it work on another device?
Interesting enough, I had this happen this morning. My issue is not permanent, but if it does not start, it never shows up.
I can only see map in either window.
If I close the window, then nothing.
I landed, restarted mission, no other changes. And all good.
I don't know that is is an issue, just pointing out that it happens.
Looks like the last line got cut off? This is being run on iPhone Xs Max, all other programs closed at the time only Dronelink running. It did look like I was on LTE, not strong signal if that makes a difference.
Don’t need cellular or Wi-Fi when using DL other then to load the plan. Once downloaded no connection is needed. You can even download a plan for off line usage which is what I do since I have a Wi-Fi only iPad.
When I first started using DL well over a year ago I had that issue a few times. Since then I always let the DJI Fly app load first, check video feed, satellites, check settings like RTH etc. It takes a minute or two for enough satellites anyways and by then everything is ready. Then I force close DJI app and open DL and everything always works. Not sure if it’s with some particular devices or what but seems to work. Maybe give it a try. I’m always patient and I’d rather know home-point is the recorded and everything else is working as usual with the DJI app first.
Do you have another device you an reproduce the issue on?
@George K: If this happen next time to you again, please try to change the mode picture to video, or reverse - while having the freezed black "live-picture" screen and observe if it works for a certain time interval.
Just an idea: in case if the distance between controller and drone is critical, the steering works still fine (you can prove it by analyse the video at home later) but the video transmission begins to interrupt --> in case of using DJI app the drone will behave like adjusted (f.e. RTH) after 11sec of no picture. I guess in case off using DL-App the drone should also RTH, right? But in my case the DL-app "thinks" the connection is fine (in fact picture transmission stucks), because I don't get any warnings and the drone doesn't RTH. Full steering is possible, even the follow function works.
I just wanted to mention, that in case of George K obviously the camera itself seemed also to work, including the picture-algorithm inside the drone was alive (you can see it on the pictures: at least Shutter was changing).
This part It's like in my case (but permanent)
Strange. Only thing I can think of to try is an older version Beta 3.3.1 (189). That version added the Mini SE along with the DJI SDK 4.16. If that works then it may help to resolve any future version issues specific to the Mini SE.
Had the same issue today twice, not only that but the connection seemed to restart a few times. Also got a message for transmission delay. The DJI Fly app works perfectly so I assume this is not an interference issue.

Was this issue ever resolved?? I see this is from 2 years ago but I bought the dronelink app recently and I have video feed problems.. I tried everything suggested here but nothing works.
Haven’t had the issue since the message was sent. Fixed many versions ago.
Which device manufacture and model. Which Dronelink version and flavor are you using ? There should not be any issues and my MM which is basically the same works.
