I have made some flights with dronelink and it has been working fine... only now on some flights it generates this error. sometimes making some manual movement of the drone allows you to continue the mission but other times not... it is very random

Gimbal Orientation Failed: • Please try again by tapping the play button. • If it happens a second time, try restarting the drone........etc

Plan looks good. Sometimes just waiting about 15 seconds or more before resuming can work. Did you try shutting down and restarting Drone and controller. Also did you force close the DL app. If so maybe try deleting the DL app and re-installing.

Also when shooting 48MP you may need to increase the interval time to about 4 to 5 seconds. 48MP photo can take 3 to 4 seconds to process and it can cause an issue in the plan since it will try to take another shot before the other is processed. This is a known issues due to the time it takes to process them. Maybe this will help. Good luck.

Curious to hear if it works. I’m also using the MA2 with a IOS device, (iPad Mini) and have not had this gimbal issue.

On the gimbal issue, probably what Mike said. On 48mp mapping, you can't do that in the Elite plan. You would have to change the photo type:

Try by setting the camera at beginning to High Resolutiin (48MP) l set the interval to 4 seconds but if an issue occurs you may need to increase it to 5 secs Since they take more time to process. Don’t forget to add or change any other camera settings before mission, either manually or automatically. Good luck.

It won’t work. As soon as you set the camera into interval photo mode it switches to standard resolution.

Is that with maps only or just can’t take 48MP Intervals at all even in a path, orbit etc…

The issue is with interval photos - the camera automatically switches out of high resolution mode. This is part of the reason we changed the default to distanced based capture in maps (so we don’t have to use interval photos), and added the photo type drop-down.

As I’ve said many times before, I don’t really do maps except to test some things and familiarize myself with more of the features in Dl. I Just looked closely at that and noticed the setting in the maps. Looks like growth or enterprise plan needed then. Hopefully he reads this. Thanks for info.

That's right, I've been reviewing various details and I think that a good option would be to go to a better plan with more options... although now I'm still exploring the options of the elite plan

Depends on what your needing to accomplish. 12MP or 20MP photos are used by most and no issues when used to map. Everyone has their opinions and if using as a Hobbyist it’s your choice of a plan. If used for a business you would need to purchase a business plan anyway. Good luck…..
