Is there any other DJI dron that you support vertical orientation? I think there is plenty of people who would love to record pre planned flights in vertical orientation. These days tik tok/instagram we more often watch vertical content than horizontal.
There isn’t. As Jim stated in the link it’s probably not going to happen. Only a few pilots have asked about it and a very small percentage of pilots would use it. It’s just not worth it for DL to invest all the time and money getting it added vs. focusing on adding popular features which a lot of pilots would use more. It would be a lot easier and quicker to use the DJI Fly app. It would take more time trying to set up a plan at the proper gimbal pitch, altitude, heading and distance to get it focused on the scene properly. Just like with 180 or 360 Panoramas or Hyper-lapse I use the DJI Fly app and its quicker and all processed by the DJI app. Saves a lot more time. Just some thoughts. Enjoy.
With a DJI Mini 3, my raw footage is shot in 4K 30fps HDR.
Using DaVinci Resolve (free version), the video is cropped to a vertical HQ portrait format without any loss of resolution.
This format is perfectly adequate for all social media platforms.
The other advantage of this approach is that only a single raw clip is required.
Have a good flight
