how DL processes the mission

Jim, when DL processes the mission on the device does it do all calculations and then send commands from a list or  calculate and send one command at a time throughout the flight?

I don’t understand software. If I’m correct the entire plan is loaded into the app though. Then each command is sent in real time as a pilot would do with the sticks by following those commands in that file as it flies. Does that sound right ? 🤪  As always, I may be wrong since I have no idea how software works.

It's not important but I'm trying to figure out whether the heavy load on the processor is when the mission is first loaded before take off and not in the air when commands are actually sent. It would make a big difference in how the device performed.

When running a virtual stick mission, DL attempts to perform as many of the heavy calculations before starting the mission as it can (during the Preparing to Execute... message).

Can an existing plan be converted to a component?
