As always!! Thank you for your help!!
This is on production now. Once you export to DJI Waypoints the resulting dialog has transfer instructions with a link to Download the Dronelink Bridge app.
Perfect - I'll check that out. I have a video on exporting to DJI Fly - assuming all is as expected (can't imagine it won't be) I'll update that video to show the Dronelink Bridge.
Hi Barry, Hi Jim
Is this also possible with the Mini 3 Pro and a DJI RC Pro?
Yes. It would work the sane for mini 3 pro assuming your drone has DJI waypoint options within dji fly app
However the mini 3 pro with dji rc pro has the ability to run “full featured” instead of the transfer method
You can actually install dronelinks flight app on your controller and automatically sync your missions from the web mission planning app seamlessly into the dronelink flight app
One of the huge benefits, I love most about using the Dronelink flight app. Is the ability to see live drone GPS coordinates on screen at all times.
If you were to lose your drone and you get into the routine of screen recording your flights. You have the capability of seeing the live GPS coordinates of the very last seconds of flight. Big benefit for drone recovery.
I personally much prefer the Dronelink flight app versus the DJI flight app
Barry Houldsworth (avios media) has an extensive collection of tutorial videos on YouTube for Dronelink and its features.
I love his videos, very concise to the point and easy to follow along. ( Barry will remind you of the best teacher you had in high school. Lol)
Enjoy your adventure
Totally agree with Joe. The RC Pro is a great device for running Dronelink directly. No need to mess around and you get a LOT more functionality and control doing it that way.
Ruggero. The Mini 3’s don’t have DJI onboard waypoints so it can be used only with the DL app with any supported device. There is no way to run an onboard mission with either Mini 3. It wasn’t until the Mini 4 came out that DJI made them onboard waypoints capable. Just wanted to clear that up.
Joe, Barry, Mike
Thanks for the helpful info!
Sure, I'll use the Dronelink for DJI app on the RC Pro—it makes sense.
