IOS devices work much better overall. There are so many different manufactures of Android OS devices it’s hard to know which device will work well. If your having video feed issues it’s more than likely the device. Also the “image transmission weak signal” has always been there when using an Android OS device for a long time. Doesn’t seem like DJI is fixing anytime soon.

Thank you. Good thing I got my Mavmount for my iPad!
🤙🏼 Amazing app with far more capability then a lot understand. Enjoy.
I'm really loving it. Been planning mapping missions all week for a SAR mission. Amazing technology.
Just bought a Pixel 6 for testing.
Unbelievable service. Thank you! This software and community support really impresses me.
DJI just released a fix for this (DJI SDK 4.16.1) so the next build build (192) will have this fix.
This is great news. Any idea when this is supposed to be released for android? I am on the beta version and see the current build is 191 released on 3/17.
Jim McAndrew I know the last thing a software user is supposed to ask the dev team is when software will be released. Sorry about that.
I have a search and rescue mission planned for this weekend. Yesterday I was able to do some additional testing with the software. I came to the conclusion that the mapping works much better using my Pixel 6 (even though there is no live feed, or very little anyway) than my iPad (running the iOS Beta) for my Mini 2. However if I want to do any flights wee i require a live feed, I will have to use my iPad.
Granted, I know that larger mapping missions are a huge resource hog and that larger missions will throw a warning during planning, but I ran a 600 acre mission yesterday. My iPad continually crashed the Dronelink app when trying to estimate mission times. I have a feeling this must be due to my older ipad which is unfortunate. Although that still surprises me if that is the case because it is still on Apple's release schedule and is running the latest version of iPad OS. Unless there is a massive memory leak which I doubt.
If there is any way I can test the latest version for android (192) please let me know! Thanks!
Right. Most times it is impossible to give an estimate because of external factors, such as getting a response from DJI on blocking issues, and in this case, waiting on receiving the test hardware which has been delayed multiple times in shipping.
It is on our roadmap to make large missions work better, but until we get around to it (we have other more pressing issues like Pixel 6 support, Autel, etc), you either need to split the mission up, or convert it to DJI waypoints to run onboard.
On thing that would be helpful and sounds easy - when you import a KML for a map make the default height 400ft instead of 100ft. Most of my missions are at 400 and calculating the 100ft one takes much longer.
Just a thought.
Just submitted 192 for approval.
192 is approved for beta testing.
Awesome!! Thank you! Just got update and verified 192 on my Pixel. I look forward to testing this beta. Thanks!
