Battery swapping sequence

Julian Perry
I’m going to be running a 20-25min mission soon with my Mavic Mini and iPad that will inevitably take my battery down to less than 20% and so trigger an RTH. Firstly, will this show in DL the same as it would in DJI Fly and will that automatically pause the mission? Or do I need to program a command to trigger a 20% RTH in the DL plan? Secondly, I wanted to be clear of the sequence of steps so that I can resume the mission after a battery swap, given a previous suggestion to force quite the Fly app after take off and unlocking Geozone etc. Here are the steps I’m proposing: After the 20% RTH prompt in DL, which will pause the mission, bring Home in usual way. Swap battery and open up Fly app (with DL still open in background) Connect drone and Import DJI Geozone Unlock Launch drone and confirm zone warning when promoted Force quit the Fly app Switch back to DH app and press Resume Is this correct and the drone should return to where it left off? Thanks

When your battery reaches the RTH level (either regular or smart RTH) you will get a message saying the mission has stopped and it will automatically RTH.

Once you swap the battery, you can restart the mission.  It will fly back to where it stopped and continue.

Ok so no need to include a Command (Smart RTH) during the approach to one of the Orbits.

Once the drone is back in the air and zone unlocked again etc, then I presume it's best to Force quit the Fly app again before hitting Resume?

Just be cautious on the resume command as from my own experience the drone will beeline from it's current position to the resume point.  So, make sure you are at an obstacle clearance height before attempting to resume mission.

Sure, good thought. I will fly up to a safe height with the Fly app then force quit it and return to the DL app.
