Use a Component from my Repo

Ruggero Aebi
Hello, if I create a component, a list, etc. that I want to use again in other plans, I save it in the repository. If I now create a new plan somewhere else on the map and want to use the saved list etc. again, it always goes back to the place on the map where I saved it at the time. Can i change that? Or do I have to move the list etc. to my new current location every time in order to use it? THANKS a lot

If your doing it correctly by adding a “new component” to the plan you just include from your Repos. It should not be moving anything. Just adding a new component to the current plan that’s already opened. Search your Repos for what you want to add and it should work.

The location of lists is ignored when you add it to a mission plan (assuming there are no motion components in the list).

I’m sure it’s on my end Jim but a Orbit or Path is a motion component unless I really missed something. I created a component list with an Orbit saved with certain parameters. I can add that Orbit from my Repo list and it attaches at end of my path at any location and It doesn’t place it in another location where it was created. I’m sure it’s me but I am curious about this.

It automatically repositions it when you include it.

Ok. I’m still missing something but it doesn’t matter, It’s all working for me. Just curious why his was moving elsewhere. Must be the way he is adding the component but no biggie. Don’t want to waste your time to train my simple brain. Still learning after a year plus. Thanks.

Thanks for asking, and answering. I've been moving the 360 component from the public repo for some time, never getting it where I wanted it. Used the "Move destination only" etc., one would move, then the rest ended up in France, or somewhere. never did get it. Now I finally have it where it should be.

When I include the 360 from the repo, it asks me to reposition it:

Yep, what it did for me also, couldn't figure it out until I read above posts, and actually created a new plan using that component. So for me, I'm all good now.
