The ability to save the Custom Simulated Drones
As we know, the DJI Mavic 3 has not released MSDK but the M3 is a superb camera drone and I still need the ability to simulate the DJI Mavic 3's FOV.
For me, the detailed use case is very simple:
(1) I fly DJI Air 2S with planned routes and inspect the targeted area and go back home to review the inspection
(2) In the review, I will plan the next flights to take better pictures of the selected objects/points/locations with fine-tunning angle/height/...etc
(3) Since the FOV of DJI Mavic 3 is slightly narrow, it is 84deg (24mm), compared to DJI Air 2S's 88deg (22mm), there are slightly different. And, I will simulate the flight with Dronelink's custom simulated drone feature.
However, the custom simulated drone's setting will be reset and I will need to enter the parameters every time.
So, my request is
(1) Let Elite user has the ability to create and save the custom simulated drones.
or
(2) Please add "DJI Mavic 3" as a simulated drone and it will also help.

We already released an update to Map and Facade where the custom camera spec you enter will carry over to the mission previewer - is this what you want?

The previewer is good but I use it to check the flight parameters - heading, movement, flight time, and altitude for safety mostly.
I don't use the FOV of the previewer a lot. It is because the simulated drone is more useful and powerful for me. It is easier to use the simulated drone to do planning and check with the previewer after the planning.
For planning the aerial photography, I will need to use the simulated drone.
I am just a hobbyist and there are many restrictions, like the 400ft restriction and daylight flying... With these restrictions, I struggle to determine the gimbal pitch very much. The -12, -18, -20, -24, or -30 make the result very different and if the altitude factor is also put into consideration, you can find it is an X * Y matrix...
I can't do all this in the real-world and determine the parameters. And, instead of that, I use Dronelink's simulated drone to help with planning.
So, if the simulated drone's camera spec can also carry over or save, it is really needed.
And, if it is allowed us to manage 2 to 5 custom drones' camera spec, it will be really good.
For example: Mavic 3 has two cameras and multiple zoom multiples, right? So, I bet you can imagine easily that if there I can have the preset/profile of the Mavic 3's camera zoom multiples, it will really help the planning.
I hope this feature can be provided to Elite users and I bet there are many Dronelink's hobbyists fly Mavic 3 and we will appreciate and need the feature.
And, if Dronelink can just add Mavic camera profiles with different Zoom multiples (1x, 2x, 4x, 7x) for us, I will be more than happy. :-)
Understood.
