mapping steep terrain with 70m tree canopy
I am trying to map our 40 acre property which has 200m elevation as well as steep gullies and 70m eucalyptus trees. I would like to get as many angles as possible to see the actual ground without crashing into trees. Terrain follow sounds good but if it's not very accurate, it's useless. Am I able to define my own canopy map to avoid crashing while also capturing all the angles required? The property is at 261 mellows rd, Calderwood NSW 2527 Australia.

Not in Dronelink AFASIK
It would help to know which drone you are using.
In this video
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rhneo8QoXV0
which was made in Australia, we can see that the bug related to "Upload mission details" (or "dancing drone") also exists as in some European countries.
It is therefore advisable to:
- Operate offline
- Carry out short missions without having to change batteries, as it will not be possible to resume the mission. This can be verified using the Dronelink simulator.
DL-DJI mini 3
That video has nothing to do with the question being asked - why are you posting that here?
Yeah, I’m confused too 😜
I have the mini 4 pro with the rc-n2

OK. I was hoping you had an enterprise drone such as the M3E. Those allow for that and also allow for the use of the sensors on the bottom to automatically adjust.
Otherwise the only advice I can offer is to use terrain follow, preview in Google Earth Pro (see how here https://youtu.be/SMLQnI0bgMU) and then give your flights plenty of room for error.
I have an idea that I want to experiment with that might help and if I make any progress, I'll let you know. Don't hold your breath on that though - it's a bit of a long shot.
