Export KMZ file to DJI mini 4 pro RC-2
Hi,
I'm having issues to export flight plans as KMZ files and replacing them on the RC-2 Controller, the waypoints don't show.
I'm using the 'Export to Google Earth' in the Mission preview as it seems to be the only way to export KMZ files.
Any ideas?
Thanks

You need to use export to DJI Waypoints not Export to Google Earth.
This video will walk you through the process https://youtu.be/Uuk21sVoZRo
Thanks for the reply Barry, I already tried that but I don't seem to have a converted file to DJI-Waypoints plan although I'm following steps to the letter, not sure what I'm missing here!
I guess a couple of things to look into:
The part that shows how to convert starts at 1:31 in the video.
I think I found the issue, it seems that I had the 'Large Area' Warning that I ignored which seems to be preventing the conversion or export.
Just for future references should anyone have the same issue.
Thanks again Barry.
Hi Scanex. Just a but more info which may help. It’s always better to run smaller mapping missions for several reason. With smaller missions if you do have a problem you would only need to run that one small section not the entire mapping area. If you run a large mapping missions and there is an issue where it won’t continue or even resume from last point and finish you may need to rerun the entire mission which would be time consuming. You will need battery swaps on larger missions anyway so it’s just better to run a mapping plan which can run on about one battery. The time difference if any is minimal from start to finish. Just better with smaller maps and it will save you a lot of frustration and headaches. This applies to DJI Waypoints conversions to run with the DJI Fly app or even with the DL mobile app. You would of course need to purchase an RC-N2 controller to use the DL mobile app but they aren’t that expensive and can then be used with either a phone or larger screened tablet. Since the Mini 4 is fully supported this would give you many more features/ functions and control of each component which you are now missing. I think it would be worth the investment which at least gives you the option of using either controller depending on your situation. Also many have reported issues with larger plans especially mapping plans when using the RC2 controller to fly an imported KMZ with the Fly app. Sometimes the mission may not load or execute/ start the mission due to the performance of the device. It’s a good controller and works well but since the Mini 4 is fully supported with the DJI SDK I’d at least consider the RC-N2 which will give you so much more. You’re missing out on a lot by not utilizing the the DL mobile app. Just some thoughts and suggestions. Enjoy.
