The RC-N3 does not have DJI SDK support. You will need to use the N2 or wait for DJI but it’s been quite a while now and still nothing to indicate when they add support for third party apps. https://support.dronelink.com/hc/en-us/articles/39718021407379-Mini-4-Pro-Support-Overview
DJI released version 5.17.0 on November 4, 2025, which supports the DJI Mini 4 Pro with the DJI RC-N3 controller.

Just wait for Dronelink DJI to use this new version of MSDK.
DL usually adds new products very quickly. I don’t think Jim would let this go for a month or more but only he could answer why. Bottom line is the problems he was having is due to the controller, not the app. Enjoy.
Hey guys,
Thank you for all your comments. I did some digging earlier, but I couldn’t find much information about the differences between the RC2 and RC3. Everything I was able to find said that the only difference is the battery.

The DJI Mobile SDK site shows support for the DJI Mini 4 Pro with the RC-N2 and RC-N3 controller. Based on that, dronelink should be compatible with the N3 controller, right? Can anyone confirm whether this is true? I'm using a DJI Mini 4 Pro and would like to purchase an N3 controller to use dronelink, but want confirmation before doing so.
Thanks to anyone who can provide info.
You don't have to guess, the answer is not yet: https://support.dronelink.com/hc/en-us/articles/39718021407379-Mini-4-Pro-Support-Overview
Having said that, build 310 was built with DJI SDK 5.17.0, which does support it and you can try it in beta: https://support.dronelink.com/hc/en-us/articles/360033520874-How-do-I-join-and-test-the-Beta-app
Like all MSDK v5 drones, you download the Dronelink DJI variant.
Lukasz Ziara. Yes, there is no difference other than DJI for some strange reason reduce the battery time from 6 hours on the N1 & N2 to only 3-1/2 hours on the N3. Based on that I’d buy the N2 but if you already have the N3 then try it with the Beta as Jim stated.
Thanks for all that info Jim and Mike. One follow up question.
This is for my company and they would prefer to buy a new RC instead of second hand. DJI is only selling the N3 now so we will be buying the N3. How long is anticipated before the recent dronelink build with RC-N3 support is in production?
Thanks again!
It usually takes a week or two.
Hey everyone thank you for all the comments.
Just a quick update. I just got second hand RC N2 controller and that makes the difference. Now I have full control over the drone and when I try to run pre planned missions the drone doesn’t behaves like crazy when I was using the RC N3 controller.
Unfortunately I still can’t complete any missions. Every time when I start the mission the drone is flying to the starting point and then all missions are stopped.
I always have the same error message.
Gimbal orientation/ Pitch - 45deg. / Gimbal Unavailable
Or
Camera stop capture / Camera unavailable.
I try to use the camera widen flying manually and the camera is working perfectly.
Any idea what I’m doing wrong.
Good to hear you got it working with the supported controller. Did you add commands for the gimbal pitch and start capture somewhere in the plan. If so can you share the plan here.
Hi Mike
Please see link to the mission below

Great news, finally I figured out what I was doing wrong. Everything is working now 🎇🎇🎇
Thanks to all of you for your help.
P.s. definitely you need RC N2 controller for the app to work with mine 4 pro.
It could be helpful in the future if others search and find this thread with a similar issue to know what the problem was. It’s not necessary but it can be helpful. Enjoy.
yo tengo el n3 y el mini 4 pro y la mision no se realiza, tengo una mision planificada y el dron sube mucho mas alto y me da error, no la realiza, me pone dronelink no funciona, esperar o aceptar y si le doy a aceptar se cierra.
Antonio. Check your posting. This may be why. https://support.dronelink.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/47871600801811-mision-no-realizada
Antonio. Did you get it working. If not did you download the correct version of the DL mobile app. It needs to be downloaded from the DL website, not the Goggle play store. If you select your drone and the controller you’re using it will take you to the DL download page for the APK.

Can anyone confirm if Dronelink is now compatible and working with the DJI RC-N3 controller?
If you check the DL support pages it indicates what drones and controllers are supported. https://support.dronelink.com/hc/en-us/articles/39718021407379-Mini-4-Pro-Support-Overview
Dylan Stafford. I sent a posting but it’s pending with a link. The answer is yes as indicated in Jim’s post above. Check the support pages for a lot more info.

Thanks for that info.
The aircraft firmware on my company's DJI Mini 4 Pro was updated to 01.00.1100 and Dronelink can't connect anymore. I couldn't find on the Dronelink site, but is there a way to see which firmware versions Dronelink is compatible with for a specific drone? Also, when DJI releases a new firmware, how long does Dronelink typically take to release a compatible version? For context, I'm using DJI Mini 4 Pro 01.00.1100 with RC-N3 01.01.0300.
Thanks for any info!
