RTH - Mavic Mini e Mavic 2 zoom
Hi I understand that you cannot set the height of the rth from the dronelink application but via the flight application. If imposed a circle-type mission and I enter the RTH command at the beginning or at the end of the mission does the drone respect the set height both in case of end of mission and in case of signal loss?Grazie

You are correct about the DJI app settings being used for lost signal/ connection or RTH at end of plan. If you add drone commands for any of those it will use them instead. So of you want the disconnect RTH altitude different then the DJI app settings then you can add a command to use instead. Basically if you add drone commands different then the DJI app settings it will use those. As long as you have the Action on Finish set to RTH it will perform it. Example, the MA2 will trigger first low battery at approx 20% and RTH. However, if you add a drone low battery percentage at 35% then it will trigger at that percentage instead if the defaulted 20%. Same with any others like Max distance, Max altitude etc. Hopefully this helps.
Not sure about adding it as an immediate component but maybe Jim can answer that. I usually place a command like that at either the beginning or end of plan. It may not matter where though.
The order definitely matters. If you do it at the end of the plan and the drone disconnects before the end, then the altitude will have been set.
Ok. Good to know. I usually place any drone commands similar to this type at beginning so it loads those functions then. I’m guessing if it was at the end and disconnected before it finished it still would use the DJI app settings ? I was curious about him placing it where he did so he should probably move to top/ beginning of the Orbit plan to make sure. Still learning. Thanks.
It would use whatever settings were previously saved to the drone’s firmware from any app that was used before Dronelink, or even settings that were applied by running a previous Dronelink mission.
Thanks for the answers you have clarified many doubts. Therefore, it is ideal to enter the command rth at the end so it is active for the whole mission.
I Understood that. Thanks.
Emilio. Maybe it’s a language barrier. Not at the end, at the very beginning/ Top of the plan. Basically as this shows. It should be loaded at beginning so it’s set to your specified RTH altitude in case of a disconnect as Jim stated. Hope this helps .
