Waypoint mission follow the terrain

Hi!

I'm new with dronelink. I need a program to do some photos in the same position during months. With other apps the height of the drone is based on the takeoff point. There is a way to do it in dronelink, with height based on the terrain? I don't mind to buy premium version of the software if it can do it.

The drone is DJI Mavic 2 PRO.

Thx ;)

Only Business plans have Terrain Follow. If wanting something similar then you will need the Hobbyist Elite plan which has AGL/MSL ability. It works really well with markers placed along the path. Also the AGL uses ESRI data which is only accurate for every 30 meters, (about 100’) along the path, not at every point so it will vary a bit. Also need to take into consideration the drones altimeter, barometer etc. The accuracy can be off about 4 meters + or -. Sometimes even more so be careful if using at lower altitudes. Even the GPS position can be off a bit when using the same mission over and over due to several factors. It will be close but there is no way to get it at the exact same location and/or altitude every time. These consumer drones can only be so accurate. I’ve seen others do this and I’ve used the same short mission to take photos every day on a tree which was blooming over a month period and they looked good. Some editing will probably need to be done to frame/ crop the photos if wanting to make a hyperlapse type video of the changes. Overall I believe it will work since others have used it this way with good results. The Hobbyist plans are all a one time cost vs. Business plans which can do more but have a monthly cost. If using for business purposes then you will need a business plan. Good luck.
