Simple drone rotation
Hello,
Winter is almost finished, I will get my drone prepared soon.
I would like to know if, today, using Dronelink, I can fly anywhere, at any altitude, and use a simple dronelink command to turn the drone like a turntable at adjustable speed, using an adjustable number of turns.
If yes, what option / upgrade do I need ?
Thanks in advance.

You can use to fly anywhere legally allowed too at the legal max altitude. No different then using the manufactures app to fly manually. If a Hobbyist then I believe you will need the Hobbyist Premium plan or up which will perform Rotation component. There may be several ways depending on how you want it to look. DL has so many functions depending on which plan you get sometimes it can be set up differently. Sounds like what you want can be easily performed with Rotation component. Set to distance or time and rotation rate. Hope this helps.

Thank you, Mike
How can I ONLY use the rotation component ?
What I need is : I fly manually somewhere, choose my best viewpoint, use ONLY the rotation component on demand.
Using my Dronelink app, I must add a New Plan, choose a location, then I can add the rotation component !
What am I missing ?
This is what custom functions are for (requires light javascript coding). If this is something you are interested in, you can email support@dronelink.com for a-la-carte pricing.
If you can do coding then I’m sure Jim has the answer for you. I was just talking about an extremely simple plan. One destination component with the rotation. You can create it in about 60 seconds and It can be moved or copied to any location you go to and adjusted easily. It is really simple and Just a thought. Hope it works out either way. Enjoy…..
Thank you for your answers.
I did some tests :
it seems I cannot use Dronelink indoor as Dronelink needs GPS signals
it seems I cannot use custom functions because of my premium account.
As I do need to use my drone today, using DJI Fly, I changed gimbal and rotation parameters for the T(ripod) mode.
I will perform manual rotations ...
Of course, if I'm wrong (indoor, account) I will study the coding possibility.
Dronelink is fantastic for complex flight plans and options.
Very basic functions such as rotation should be available anywhere (indoor, outdoor) with the 1st Hobbyist plan as, in France (at least)
"Qui peut le plus peut le moins" ( Who can do more can do less)
For example, I would love to be able to use Dronelink components just to set Iso, Shutter Speed, White Balance, no matter what gps signal are, no matter where I am flying.
Maybe I’m misunderstanding your questions.

Don’t need GPS or connection to drone to create, edit, change any plan to include, shutter, ISO, Gimbal etc. Plans are created on Dronelink Web app using a browser. Doesn’t matter if indoor or outdoors. All my plans have be created inside my home without being connected. Only need drone and controller connection with GPS when actually flying the mission outside.
I’d suggest going through at least the first half of these Dronelink 101 Tutorial Videos. Explains about how to use Web app and Native app. Also a link to Quick Start guide which has a ton of information and other links. Dronelink is a complex and extremely well developed app with a lot of functions, features available. Hope all this helps.

Hello Mike,
I also edit plans at home on my desktop computer, using a very large screen.
I cannot fly with Dronelink indoor as Dronelink needs GPS signal.
Of course, I can launch Dronelink (Android) on my SC controller indoor, but I cannot start a plan, mission ...
You agree with me: Dronelink needs GPS signal to fly a mission, we cannot override this.
I've probably watched most official Dronelink video tutorials.
My English understanding is good enough.
It's not so easy to explain things using a keyboard and writing an answer.
Concerning shutter, ISO, Gimbal : latest DJI Fly version is really nice : one large popup screen with large buttons :
No need to specify each of them, as we do with Dronelink.
Such a useful popup window would be welcomed using Dronelink !
If you are running a mission plan that doesn’t involve any motion components (just commands for example), then you can run it without GPS. Theoretically we could let the rotation component run without GPS, but right now it still requires it because it is also a “motion component”.
Yes, you need GPS to fly a Dronelink mission but not sure why you would want to load a Dronelink missions and fly indoors. Just curious. Seems like it would be unsafe.
