Web app for flight planning
I'm having a lot of problems with the web app, for example, when trying to create a waypoints mission, I choose a starting point and then nothing happens and cannot proceed without refreshing the webpage, which takes me back to the start. When I have been successful in creating a waypoint mission, it does not sync to my iOS app to fly the mission. Just wondering if there are some extensions for the browser that might be required, or some other specific setup? I am using Edge.
Thanks
Tim

I don't know if Edge has anything to do with it, but i would suggest switching to Firefox.
A while ago I put together a comparison across browsers and you can see the results of that here:

All that said, I use Firefox and have had none of the issues you mentioned.
Thanks for the suggestion. I tried Firefox but am still seeing the issues.
I noticed that the saving/syncing issue occurs when I start adding more complex flights, such as a drone rotation at a waypoint. I am on an old Hobbyist plan so am now wondering if it is simply an issue of trying to add a function that is not included in my plan, although I assumed that I simply wouldn't be able to include something that is not included. Does anyone know what an old Hobbyist plan equates to in the current model?
I just found another post discussing the plans and what's included for legacy ones, so that's not the issue. I'm on Hobbyist (2020) so the more advanced functions that I'm using should be included.
Any suggestions?
It sounds like possibly a network issue. Can you try a different network?
Thanks for the suggestion. Tried another network but still the same issue.
Thanks to the suggestion by Barry, I tried the browser avenue some more. Same issues on Edge, Firefox and Chrome. Decided to try Duck Duck Go, and not only is it so much faster to handle the mapping, but the issue that I was having is completely cured. So I can fully recommend Duck Duck Go as a very competent browser for this application.
Very interesting.
Duck Duck go avoids a lot of the tracking/cookies (which is sort of their thing) so I would assume that the problem you are having relates to something like that which is in your browser.
Can I ask you to try something out for me? Go back into Firefox and start a private browsing window, then log into dronelink and see if you still have the problem. I suspect you will not.
If the problem dissapears in the private window then you can try using the Cookies and Site Data option to clear data and see if it works in a normal window.
Would be useful to see if that is what caused the problem.
When this has happened to me on very rare occasions when using Firefox I clear all browsing history, cache, cookies, absolutely everything to include all website data and power off my iPad. After restarting both my iPad and my router it has always fixed the problem. It is a device and/or browser issues. Also as Barry mentioned, if you switch to the private browsing it has always worked for me but since I know how to correct the issue I don’t use private browsing. Enjoy.
Tried private browsing on Firefox and not working. As Duck Duck Go works so well, I will simply stick with that and bear in mind clearing cache, etc, should I eventually encounter issues on DDG. Thanks for all the helpful info.
Thank you for trying - that's helpful info
If it works then that’s what’s important. On my iPad under data management there is a selection to click for “website data” just above all the switches for cache, cookies etc. When I cleaned all that web data out and reset the router it works. Just incase you want to try or if the Duck starts acting up. Always nice to have at on back up browser.
