Epic Location Missions

Bill B

I have to ask. I was looking at mission plans and I went to the " Epic Locations " examples. It seemed like almost everyone was flying in locations it is illegal to fly or at heights above 400ft. Am I missing something here?

Haystack Rock went to 800' well above the 400' limit

Mount Rushmore is part of the National Park system, you can't fly there.

You can't fly in Paris around the Eiffel tower

at that point I stopped checking. I'm sure there are others like Sydney Opera house

Most of those mission plans are just showing the capabilities of the mission planner and haven't been flown. The ones that have been flown, such as Sydney Opera House got permission.

I've had a lot of fun creating "fantasy" missions just to fly in Google Earth.

I’ve created many different plans which I’ll never fly. Just created to test functions, settings, angles, distances, etc. and see how they look on Google Earth. Good way to learn more of how DL works and apply certain functions for actual future missions. 😃
