Fly X to Y by specific heading and distance
Hi. Can't seem to work this out. I would like to manually fly the drone directly over a specific point and create a waypoint then automate a flight from there a specific distance at a specific heading. For example, align drone vertically over a shooting location then fly 350m at 270 degrees and hover so that I can mark a target location. Any help is appreciated!

On the fly function isn’t what you need ?
I can use that to mark that initial point for sure, but from there I want to be able to move let's say 350m due East. That part has to be pretty accurate. If I'm using on the fly how would I know I'm being accurate?
It is all about the geomathematics.
I have the same needs and there is no built-in function in the dronelink.
So I create a spreadsheet to calculate the distance of two points. And, in this way, I can get 100% accurate.
You can find the kind of tool online to get the targeted point's geolocation.
The most simple tool to use is google map.
Only, it is not easy to do it online/on-the-fly and you will need to do the plan offline with a desktop/laptop.
This kind of thing would be very easy to do with a custom function (light javascript required). If that is something you are interested in trying, you can email support@dronelink.com for a-la-carte pricing.
Ray - I think what you are suggesting would be an effective way to achieve what I'm looking for. The only thing I'm stuck in there, is even if you have a precise geolocation (latitude / longitude) how are you entering that in Dronelink? From what I can tell the only option for entering a location in a plan is by dropping an icon on the Dronelink map and I can't see where you can be particularly specific about that. Is there an option or setting I'm missing?
Jim - I'm not getting any financial return for this, so at this stage I'd prefer to try and find a no-additional-cost solution if possible.
Thank you both!
EDIT - I take that back, I see now that it is there in plain sight!!!
I love the forum and seeing how different people use the software. I am just curious as to what the goal of the project is? Since this was a very unique question, I was just perplexed as to what the goal of the mission was.
Hi FlyinLo.
I have 2 uses for this.
1 is for setting targets for long range rifle shooting where we want to have multiple targets at specific distances from a shooting location.
The other is for laying out fencing on an acreage where you want to set up areas with nice square fences and a predetermined shape/size layout.

I pin a marker B on the WP-B and the WP-B is 350m from WP-A and 270 deg. And, the marker A is pinned on the WP-A.
The distance between A and B is 350.03 m. Well, if you want, you can adjust it to 350.00m.

I am a pilot who takes flight safety very seriously.
For me, flying the drone is quite the same flying a human plane.
I use it to plan the flight zones which I will go there some of the days. It helps me saving time for planning flights.
I also use the "Restriction Zone" function to draw the safety radius of the flight zones.
I know the "Takeoff Restriction" and it can adjust the radius very quickly but I will need more zones in one map. It is an exploration map or an adventure map with many many zones to fly.
Doing this way, it makes me be more prepared and safer, too.
Currently, there is no built-in function for me to input the radius of the circle Restriction Zone. So, I use a spreadsheet to do it.
Here is one of examples:
Kevin Walker that is pretty cool! It is amazing to see how folks use this differently. On the subject of fences I just showed a guy how to use the same GNSS equipment i use for mapping to mark out mile long fences very accurately. Technology is a wonderful thing! Thanks for sharing. I enjoy learning how people use various technologies. Take care!
