About on-board mission

Hello again

I'm a little confused here once I'm a new user of drone Link.

My question is: I have the Elite plan, and my drone is a DJI Puantom 3 advanced. If I create a map mission this will be stored on-board on the drone and the mission will be acomplished independently of the RC connection be established or being lost?
