Live Feed Slow Framerate

Sam Calmes

Hello,

  • Dronelink Version: 3.3.0 (185)
  • Kernel: 3.3.0
  • DJI Air 2S (FW: 02.04.2130)
  • Pixel 6 Pro (Android 12)

The live feed inside the Dronelink app seems to be unusable at an update of about 1 frame per 30s (not exact time), while inside DJY Fly (v1.5.9) app it is fine. All requested permissions have been allowed and the DJY Fly app has been force quit. I have tried re-installing Dronelink as well.

The same issue seems to have been reported here, without a resolution.

Any ideas?

Thanks

As the other thread states, DJI has abandoned development on the UXSDK, so until we can get our own version going not sure what else to suggest other than I can give you a refund. My Pixel 4 works fine :(

    Hey Jim,

    Thanks for the quick response.
Did you happen to see that the UX SDK was updated 2 weeks ago to go with the 4.16 Mobile SDK release? https://github.com/dji-sdk/Mobile-UXSDK-Android/releases/tag/v4.16

If you have and it still doesn't provide what is needed, that's unfortunate but no refund is necessary.

    Thanks

Just to clarify, DJI has basically stopped development on the next generation of the UXSDK (which we were hoping would have all the major bug fixes). Basically, they shut down the Palo Alto office (the team that was responsible for the UXSDK).

The teams in China still seem to do maintenance releases on the previous version of the UXSDK, but we haven't seen any major bug fixes on this branch for months. The next version of Dronelink (probably 3.4.0) will use 4.16, and hopefully it will fix things for you, but I wouldn't hold your breath.

Hi guys, new dronelink user here. i have a dji mini 2, a samsung s22 with android 13. my first flight with dronelink was a big disappointment. The live images from the drone are very slow to arrive on my phone. The image refreshes every few seconds, sometimes even every 20 seconds. Flying is impossible. Does anyone have a solution for this? Thank you.
