Photo GPS Data

Andy Bauer

Hi everyone, I recently got Dronelink Hobbyist Basic and have been using it with my DJI Mini 2. Works great so far, adds a lot of mission capabilities to for the Mini 2!

I am having an issue with GPS data being stored with photos though. Does this data not get saved if for example I am doing a circle mission around an object and manually triggering the camera each time? I get zeros for all coordinates.

However, I do get correct GPS data with each photo when I plan a waypoint mission and have the camera automatically trigger at a 10s interval.

Am I doing something wrong or is this a limitation with a basic account?

Thanks!

Dronelink has no control over any of this behavior, it is all coming from DJI's firmware.

I don't have any issues with missing GPS data when manually triggering photos through the DJI Fly app, could there be a bug with drone link if it should be recording the GPS data even with manually triggered photos?

If there is a bug, it is with the DJI SDK or DJI's firmware. We can report it to them.

OK thanks for the help. I will try to see whether there is a difference when I use the physical controller button compared to the on screen capture button too. I have only been using the controller button until now.
