RTH on minimum battery 20% triggered. How to: Cancel? Disable? Adjust minimum?
(Mavic mini) Had a waypoint mission setup over a winding ravine (2km long). I walked under it to monitor and intended to land and swap batteries before it hit 20%. I missed the mark and the drone took off for home. Me, unable to do anything about it, sprinting through the snow for ~600m to intercept before someone swipes it. Funny... Not funny ;)
1) How do I regain control of the drone next time it hits 20% battery and triggers RTH? (I didn't see any option, and tried closing the app / switching to DJI Fly, but that didn't do it either.)
2) How can I set it, so that if it hits 20%, it just stops in place and I can fly manual or I hit RTH on my controller if that is what I want.
3) The mavic mini DJI Fly app triggers RTH at 10% battery, and DL does it at 20%... How can I change it to a percentage of my choosing, like something between 10/20%. Alot of times I'm flying close to my location and don't need anything close to 20% to RTH. 20% drastically effect my flight time when you multiply that by 3 batteries.

I don't use the Fly app, but the Go 4 app allows you to change the battery levels (low battery warning and critically low battery). DL won't change that unless you put it into your mission AFAIK.
You can also turn on or off smart return-to-home. Smart return to home will calculate how much battery it needs to get home, and it's possible this is what triggered the RTH in your case given that you were apparently far away from the home point.
Hi Tom. Unfortunately the DJI Fly app doesn’t have the ability to change low battery percentages like the DJI Go app. DJI Fly app is defaulted at 20% for first low battery which can be cancelled in the app. Second critical low battery triggers at 10% and cannot be cancelled.
DL app uses the same settings as the DJI Fly app since parameters stick across devices. I’m guessing they are using the same 20% as in the Fly app for a reason. When running DL missions with my MA2 or MM there is no way to cancel the RTH and I’ve noticed it triggers at about 17% in the app. You can place a battery command for a lower percentage in the plan but it will only allow 15% lowest value. I’ve noticed when I tried the 15% it still triggers RTH at about 17% so I don’t use it. At this point when flying DL missions only way to cancel is to cancel the mission. I’m only guessing but it’s probably for safety reasons to minimize the chance of having any problems getting the drone back. If it went longer and hit 10% and auto-landed it may not be a suitable area, like water. Ouch. Better safe than sorry.
The on the fly, “Follow Mode” uses Dynamic home-Point but not sure if that’s an option for you or exactly if it would work with a battery swap. I haven’t tried it that way. Curious to hear if it will work this way. At least if you use follow mode it will land at the last recorded home-point. I believe it’s constantly updating every few seconds or so.
Hope this is helpful and enjoy Sir. Mike……

If the RTH battery level is 20% it won't stop in place, it will activate RTH. If you mean you want a separate setting in your mission plan that says automatically disengage if the battery goes below x (assuming x is above the RTH battery percentage), then you can submit that as a feature request here.
