Mission Setting Guidelines / Oblique Imagery
Good evening - I intend to use my subscription to prepare aerials to be utilized for my forestry products business. The acreage I plan to capture is generally immature evergreen stands. I would like use the aerials to primarily gauge stand density. Tree height typically ranges from three to ten feet with volume anywhere from 1500-5000 trees per acre. I am new to producing aerials and any advice on mission settings - speed, overlap, height, etc. - to get the most detail would be appreciated.
I am also interested in learning if any community members are producing oblique images? There are a couple counties in northern MN that contract Eagleview (www.eagleview.com) to produce oblique images every few years. They are incredibly informative for forestry workflow. If anyone is producing them and willing to share best practices I would be grateful. I have an Air 2S (arm w/ 5 batteries). Many thanks! Sean
