How to configure the proper overlap for non camera (Lidar) application??

FlyinLo

How do we specify the path width (in meters or feet) and then base the overlap on that width??

I think someone already asked for a different type sensor.  But it will be very nice to have the ability to define a flight path with no camera involved.  I have created the Lidar Calibration flight which can be imported into each new flight which is very nice.

For Lidar and any other purpose, the user will know what their FOV is.  If spraying you may have a FOV (coverage area that is 60° but with a maximum allowed AGL).  For Lidar, the sensor will have a specified FOV.  My sensor is 100° fov and the maximum altitude I need to fly is 70 meters.

At the very least DroneLink needs to allow the user to specify the Width of the coverage path (ie 150 meters). Then the overlap desired would be based on that width.  Is there a work around for doing this until it is a built in function?

It would be nice if DroneLink would let the user enter the FOV and it solve the triangle (path width) based on that.

Love the software!!
