wrong aperture values

Ivica Žuvić

in last few mapping flights I noticed grainy pictures. with some fiddling around noticed that aperture of my taken photos is f4. this was immediately "something is wrong with my drone" for me because I always record mapping missions with f5.6, ISO100 and manual and infinite focus. never change that except shutter speed.

so cut the story short, while adjusting aperture in app it was obvious while moving aperture setting (fig.1) left or right, the displayed aperture in app bar (fig.2) is different!

to get the resulting image with aperture f5.6 I need to set aperture in app settings to f8 so it displays f5.6 in app bar...and get a good image.

attached photo is just to show the settings.

Sadly, this screen is in the DJI UX SDK, and they have abandoned development on that project, so this bug won't be fixed until we can write a replacement for their UX SDK (which is a mountain of work).

    What do you mean?

No, Dronelink has been using the latest version of the DJI UX SDK for over a year, and they are not making any more updates to that code, so if there is a bug in it (which there are many), they are never going to fix it. It means we have to write our own code for these screens since they abandoned development. As I said before, this is going to take quite a bit of time because it is a large body of work.

can you recommend some other SDK? maybe I can flash this thingy :)

This SDK is a software library for developers (like Dronelink) to include in their apps. You cannot flash the SDK to your drone like firmware.

I am illiterate as seen above. does this mean Phantom 4 Pro v2 will not receive Dronelink support anymore?

No, it just means if you find bugs in this area of the app, it may take awhile before you see a fix:

It means we have to write our own code for these screens since they abandoned development. As I said before, this is going to take quite a bit of time because it is a large body of work.
