Two of the horizontal distance indicators when running the mission preview. This is just an estimate of the mission plan.

    1. Horizontal distance from (take-off) = How far the drone is away from your original take-off location.

    2. Horizontal distance (travelled) = Total distance travelled for entire mission. If you click on the mission estimate (little clock icon) on the top bar it will give you the total distance flown which will be the same as the (travelled distance).

    3. In regards to your question about adding a drone component command of (Max Distance) then the drone will only allow that maximum distance you set to be flown. So if your plan is setup to fly farther then the Maximum distance command then it will not go farther and I believe it will fail if the disengage switch is on. So make sure if using (Max distance command) that it is set at a bit farther distance then the the actual missions farthest distance away from take-off location.

Im not sure how the (Max distance) and (Max Distance limitation) commands differ but, I’m sure Jim can answer that.

Hope this is what you were looking for.

    Enjoy, Mike……

The Drone Max Distance command is modifying the DJI max distance setting that shows up in DJI GO / DJI Fly. The distance from takeoff in the mission preview is just an estimate of how far the drone is from the planned takeoff location (purple pin), which of course may be different when you actually fly the mission.
