Edits won't save

Chris Laframboise

I am trying to edit a previously flown 360 panos OTF mission (Three 360 panos) so that it will work with my Spark. The mission was originally flown with my Phantom 3 Standard. The first edit I want to do is to get rid of one of the 3 Panos so that there are only two panos but when I get rid of the 3rd pano it does not stick and returns as soon as I close the screens and go back in. I have attached a screen recording to show what is happening. Note that the original mission was created and flown in my Premium account, then copied over to my Starter account where I am trying to make the edits.

Note that I have been able to make similar edits to the single 360 pano OTF mission to get it to work properly with my Spark by getting rid of the Destination component and adjusting the gimbal settings to work with the Spark, so I am puzzled as to why I can't get changes to the Multiple Panos mission to stick.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Chris

I copied your mission plan into a test repo and the edits seem to stick for me. Is it only this one mission plan? Do new mission plans have the issue?

I haven't had a chance to try other mission plans yet but I will. I have numerous plans from my Premium account that I can copy to my new Starter account and try to edit which I will do later when I get more time. I am also thinking of flying a new 360 Panos OTF mission with my Phantom 3 Standard in my Starter account and then editing that mission there if one of the copied missions doesn't work - just waiting for a break in the weather as it has been off and on rainy the last few days.

One thing I noticed that when I copied the plan from the Premium account, it wanted to update it which I did since it had been run quite awhile ago so that may have had something to do with it.

I tried another mission plan and this time I got the message that I needed an Enterprise Acct. I was trying to delete one of the panos that were created in the OTF mission plan. Not sure what I am doing wrong. I was able to do this when my account was briefly enabled for Enterprise to determine if I could edit the OTF Functions which is what I want to be able to do.

On the weekend I actually had a chance to fly a 360 panos OTF mission in my Starter account. I set up to take 3 panos but accidentally took 4 panos. The mission flew successfully. When I got home to my computer, I was able to delete the duplicate pano out of the mission and edit some other minor details of the mission. I was not able to do this on the mission I copied from my Premium account, so it would seem that edits are only possible on OTF missions that are actually created and flown in the Starter account and copied missions from the Premium account can't be edited. I still have more testing to do but this development is promising.

There was a bug in the On-The-Fly 360 photo function where it would add an asset source to each 360 (which is an Enterprise only feature), which has since been corrected, but any mission generating when the bug was still there is "marked" in a sense. When you tried to edit such a mission, our license checker code sees that your mission plan has restricted features, and prompts and upgrade while undo'ing the change. To make matters worse, the license checker code is not smart enough to allow you to delete the asset source, because there are other 360 photos that still have asset sources, and it just says "are there any restricted features in this mission plan after the change". We are already investigating how to get around this, but for now, as you have seen, you just have to abandon your "marked" plans, or at least just copy over parts of them into a new plan.
