Mapping missions consumes too much battery and requires in range of controller
I have been running some mapping missions with dronelink and a Mavic 2 Pro and I have telemetry problems when the drone is not within the range of the remote controller.
When the drone goes out of reach of the remote controller (the standard one) because there is some building or some object in between I get after few seconds and a telemetry error and mission is paused. So I have to recalculate the mission and waste 2-3 minutes of my flight time and then continue.
I tested within the range of the controller and never had this issue.
Also if there is continues connection with the controller and the mobile for GPS calculations and telemetry I noticed that the mobile battery and the controlle ris running out of juice faster than in normal flights.
Is this normal? is this how is supposed to work?
Because using some other apps like pix4d or dronedeploy there is no need for constant connection with the controller. It's uploading mission on the drone and then it's gone.
