This is what custom functions are for.

Hi Phillip. Unless I’m misunderstanding your question I may have a another solution.

First copy the mission you want to use. This way you won’t lose the original plan you made. Then take that plan and click on the screen to bring up the options list to move reference. Make sure to then click on “move all components” and then click where you want your new location on the map. The Orbit can be moved around on the screen to where you want using the Orange center pin. The Reference/Take-of pin can be placed where you want to take off. No need to create a new plan every time this way. Obviously you can change anything just like usual.

If I misunderstood the question I apologize. Seems like this may work though.

    Good luck, Mike…….

Thanks Jim I will look into custom functions.

Mike - the problem I am having is that the included maps to create a plan are not accurate enough or do have clouds that cover the area where I want to fly/take off. That is why I was looking at a template that I can use anywhere.

With your solution you still have to rely on the built in maps to move your components. Can you edit/move components on a mobile (iphone) as well? I didn't manage to do so. Also - would you see your own location during such an edit? Otherwise the clouds on the built in maps are still showstoppers to accurately place the components.

You may not even need a custom function. Have you tried using the Circle function in the on the fly tab (lightning bolt) in the native app?

Ok Phillip. I Understand about the map issue.

Your question about “Can you edit/move components on a mobile (iphone) as well? I didn't manage to do so. Also - would you see your own location during such an edit?”

I use my iPad 99% of the time and it works great. To bring up the function to move the plan Just hold your finger on the screen anywhere and the function will pop up. Then select move all components. Hold your finger down again on the screen where you want the plan and select to move all components to that location. Also yes, Your current location will indicated when moving the plan to another location if that helps as a reference to where you are and where you want the plan moved.

Hope this helps a bit. Good luck and Enjoy.

    Mike……..
