Camera settings

Drone Pilot

I would like to know I fly my mavic zoom and I like certain Camara

settings in the DJI 4 app My question is if I set up my camera settings in the DJI app will those camera settings transfer over to drownlink.

For example the mavic zoom lets you shoot at 48 megapixels will I be able to shoot at 48 megapixels at whatever waypoint I desire in dronelink?

Any camera settings you set in another app are saved onboard (in the camera firmware), so yes, they still apply. Having said that, you don't need to set 48mp in another app to get this to work in Dronelink.

Hi Jim McAndrew on this same question, am wondering if the feature to set/create camera settings - WB, Aperture, EV, ISO - already exist but i haven’t found it. It would be good to know if this is already available or possibly recommended as a feature add on.

Emmanuel Otchere. It your asking about placing automated camera commands then that always been available. As always there can be many ways to set up a plan. If wanting to just set the camera to specific settings at the very beginning of a plan like, ISO, WB, Shutter, FR/Res etc, then Click “+ Add, commands then advanced. The camera, drone and gimbal commands are listed in there which can be added. Hope this is what you were looking for. Everything can be fully automated using DL. I’d suggest creating a component list with camera commands for Video and Photos which can then easily be placed into any plan without adding each one every time. Much quicker to add from your Repo. Good luck.

DL has a lot of articles and tutorials to help you. This is just one section which list a variety of articles.

Mike. Thanks a bunch. My ask was more in the direction of being able to save camera settings and reuse them across missions and aircraft. Your suggestion gives me some great ideas there.

Yes.  You can create a component with all of the settings you like and then just add that as the first thing that is executed in the mission plan.

As I stated, you can create a component list with camera commands. It’s in the web app. It can be used on any plan over and over.
