Onboard Compatibility w/ recent DJI drones

My understanding is that DJI is deprecating automation hooks like waypoints in the latest models (Mavic Air 2, Mini 2, Air 2S). Does this mean that the Dronelink "Onboard Compatibility" feature (if implemented) will not work with these drones? Thanks!
