COST??

Is it my understanding that in order to be able to use mission preview in a recreational account you must upgrade to the $50 plan?  and to be able to export to google earth, you need the $100 plan???   If so, I will be very disappointed

Yes, you can compare all the features here.

Apologies if you don't think these features are worth it. I believe these are some of the most valuable features in Dronelink, with the mission preview in particular being one of the hardest (but most innovative) features I have implemented.

Well, it's unfortunate that you feel you need to charge such high prices for the hobbyist plans. $50 & $100 for the higher tiers is IMO, not worth it.   I truly believe those two plans should be around $30 & $60. If they were I'd be more likely to try them.   I doubt you'll get many recreational flyers willing to pay the higher prices, especially when there are programs like Maven and Litchi that are much easier to use and do many of the same things. Please let me know if you ever decide to re-evaluate your prices. Thanks

Hi Michael. It’s a one time fee for as many Drones as you have. No extra for multiple drones. Can’t compare DL to any of the other Mission apps which are limited compared to DL which uses Virtual Joystick approach. All the others are basically the same with limited functions/features and capabilities. It’s like comparing a Mercedes to a Camry. I understand your hesitation but In my opinion it’s well worth the small amount for what you get. Just some info and thoughts. Good luck and enjoy Sir.

    Good day, Mike……

Also I don’t work for DL. Just a Hobbyist user. 😀

Camrys are very popular cars!  😉  And much less expensive than a Mercedes.

I'm of the opinion that the current pricing structure is spot on and simply a great value for the $$$ given the rich feature set and very active development cycles.

Jim:   I am pleased to have been able to bring some entertainment to your holiday weekend.  😉

I would like to thank you, and the other posters to this thread, for your input. I have reviewed all the features of all the plans and I must admit I am still considering adding Dronelink to my arsenal.  FYI, I did have the opportunity to use Dronelink for a few months before the pandemic hit (when you were allowing us to use it for free), but haven't done much flying in the past 18 months or so. I spent many hours racking my brain trying to learn all the components, and remember some very painful brain cramps trying to figure some of it out!!  I was very impressed with what it could do and I recognize the tremendous amount of work you must have invested into this project.  I recently (past few days) watched some of the newer videos that I hadn't seen yet, and noticed a few more features that weren't available when I was using it, so it is a little more appealing to me now.

Anyway, after I explore all of the options out there, I will probably bite the bullet and sign up for the Elite hobbyist plan.   Thanks for your help.  👍
