Mini4 pro obstacle avoidence error
Hi,
the problem is the following:
I set the 'Obstacle Avoidance Commands ' as explained in your support: 'Obstacle Avoidance Support and Commands ',
when I start the mission I get the error: Horizontal Obstacle Avoidance Failed, Upward Obstacle Avoidance Failed and so on.
The mission works only if I delete all the obstacole avoidance commands.
Drone: DJI mini 4 pro (last fw),
Controller RC-N2 (last fw),
App Dronelink DJI last version (downloaded today 20/07/2025)
My question is also the next: if I don't insert this commands, but in DJI Fly app they are setted (avoid obstacle), will drone skip the obstacles?

Hi Marco. If you’re using commands to enable OA at the start of mission then I’d remove them. All settings stick across apps because they are stored in the drones firmware. So once set in the DJI Fly app it will work. It’s far easier and you won’t need to fiddle with all the commands with all the values. I’ve been using DL for almost 5 years now and I very rarely enable the OA since the aircraft is at altitude with nothing even close to the aircraft. Pilots choice. Enjoy.

I deleted the OA commands in the mission and I let the avoid preferences bypass in DJI fly app.
I run the mission positioning an obstacle on the path and the result was that drone stopped (not bypassed) the obstacle pausing the mission.
Removing the obstacle the mission automatically restarted.
The bypass may not work due to the drone needing to stay on the path. I’ve Never tried anything to test the behavior since I rarely use OA. At least you know it will brake which is most important. Enjoy.
I will try in the next days some other tests.
I keep you informed about the results.
